Upcoming Reading to be held at the Storefront Artist Project!
Storefront Artist Project invites you to attend a reading on Wednesday,
August 22, at 7:30,
by three area writers.
Florence Grende is a visual artist and writer living in Lanesboro, Masachusetts. Her work has been included in The Berkshire Review and The Sun, as well as on Public Radio?s Listener Essay segment. A past contributor to the Women?s Times, her story Learning to Fly, can be seen in this months Fiction issue. She received her MFA from the University of Southern Maine?s Stonecoast Creative Writing Program in July. She is currently working on Legacies, a memoir about the effects of war?s aftermath on family.
Rosemary Starace is a poet and visual artist, who has read and exhibited widely in the Berkshires and elsewhere. She has a poem forthcoming in the November/December issue of Orion magazine and is co-editor, with Moira Richards and Lesley Wheeler, of Letters to the World, an international anthology of poetry representing Wom-Po, the Women's Poetry Listserv, forthcoming in January from Red Hen Press. She'll be reading work from her manuscript, The Necessary Life, and other poems
Lisken Van Pelt Dus is a poet, teacher and martial artist living in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Her work can be found in Conduit, Main Street Rag, The South Carolina Review, The Sow?s Ear Poetry Review, and other journals, and has earned awards from The Comstock Review and Atlanta Review. She will be reading recent work, as well as work from her manuscript ?In Both Hands.
As the host of this event, the Storefront Artist Project continues in its
role of providing an outlet for contemporary art in a casual setting.
