YouTube-A little piece of fame.
Do you embrace this new media?

YouTube isn't that new anymore but it is sure being used for so many different purposes. "The Evolution of Dance" is the most viewed video and it is a middle aged man dancing to music that had been popular at one time with a definite type of dance that went with it. Then there is a couple that dances at their wedding to "Dirty Dancing"- Time of Your Life.

We are a society that can only concentrate on something that lasts less then a minute. While this is true perhaps YouTube can introduce people to things, places, people that they would never had the chance to learn about if it had not been for YouTube. You can learn different crafts, solutions to problems, see dance, theatre, singing from the early 1900's and things that you thought were lost in your mind forever.

Where will YouTube go, will it have staying power or will it fade as our one-minute brains change and the next new thing comes along.

It is fun to think about and realize that as you get older, things keep on changing faster and faster. Maybe this is how your parents feel that after a point it is not even learn about or maybe we will embrace new things as the one minute generation is replaced with a new generation.

It amazes me that YouTube, a website that made no money, didn't sell anything, did nothing but entertain could work, and work so well. We are all trying to make money and something of ourselves. Go to YouTube and take a tour around, just don't look at the most popular videos. look up old names of performers.

You will be surprised!
